You can use those traders and other services though, so they have a use.

dood there's a lot of stuff that doenst have a use in gw if you look at it that way. But, if they took out all the so called "no-use" content in the game, or never added it in then we would be fighting really awesome monsters in a cardboard box. The use here is eye candy. All games would die quickly without it. It's a beautiful thing to have axtra added features like this.
/signed for the wildlife in GH
also some more ideas:
-*- ability to take out mini pets in GH
-*- ability to use skills in GH (with keeping the ability to change skills/att points around): why you ask... for some added fun, and also maybe a little practice.
-*- add something to kill or fight just for the heck of it, while we wait 5+ min for a guild match to start (sometimes the wait is even longer). Maybe have random mobs come in and attack. And scattered targets to kill or protect yourself from. Some good ideas would be to bring in some of the stuff from isles of the nameless.
-*- ability to take on all sorts of different henchman 1v1. (pre-made builds) we could call it: pick a fight.
All of theese would of course be for no gain other than added fun/practice.
Any thoughts or additions to my list of wants?

A mascot of any enemy you have killed in game would be a far more practical service to add to the halls, rather than a cat that lays there. Imagine having a Jade Armor, Glint, Kuunavang or some other enemy as your mascot. Even an NPC like Rurik *lol*

I suggested it in this thread, and asked Gaile about it and she said it was not possible to implement.

Ya, i know it's been mentioned a lot, it doesnt hurt to keep mentioning it.
and...
If that's really what Gaile said then, pftt to that. Its possible... if they can get them out in explorable areas, then they can do it in the guild hall.
The way to do it... Make the guild hall just like a explorable area only with the ability for others to join anytime (like we can now), and also give the ability to change skills and attribute points around. If they did this, then we would be able to use our skills, and they could aslo add the other things I mentioned above. I dont even care if they want to make everything in the guild hall buyable. I'd pay for them... but they should at least give us the option... and yes, they can do it.

And about being able to take mini-pets out or use skills in Guild Halls, it isn't possible. Right now, Guild Halls function like a town - where people can meet up and join parties, and so on. If it were made to work like an explorable area, it wouldn't be able to function like a town. It would be awesome to have more available content for Guild Halls, but there are limitations.

ya, my point is they (a-net) are the ones who made the limitations. if because it functions like a town is its limitation (which I agree with), then all they need to do is change what it functions like. so far there are two different areas of function in guild wars... towns and explorable areas. If they changed it to an explorable area, then they would run the problem of being able to change skills and attribute points around. But the can create a new area of function. We could call it training areas. In this area they could have all the functions of a town, and of explorable areas. Truning GH into a training area would allow a-net to add some really nice features, and give their gamers what they want. It's just a thought anyway. but.. yes, they can impliment it if they wanted to.

I think it'd be pretty cool if all the pets of member's characters in your guild appeared in the guild hall when their character isn't taking them into an explorable area or mission. They could just wander around and whenever your cursor hovered over them it'd show their name and owner. :P

Someone mentioned statues in GH? Hmm, that gives me and idea: ability to add statues of gods to GH - they could even be functional, like the ones in ToA. So you could go to FoW or UW from your guild hall.
Or maybe not... I know that Guild Halls are primarily for pvp... but at least for decoration

This has got to rank up their as one of the most ridiculous threads I've ever seen.
Yet, that kitty IS uber-cute o_O
So yeah, I'd love a kitty for my guild hall.
